Examples of Common Aussie Colors

These dogs are all black tri color.  They are black with tan and white markings
These dogs are all red tri color.  They are red with tan and white markings
These dogs are red or black bi color.  They have white, but no tan markings
These dogs are blue merle, they have white and tan markings, so technically they are blue merle tri color.
These dogs are red merle, they have white and tan markings, so technically they are red merle tri color.
These dogs are blue or red merle bi color.  They have white, but no tan markings

There are 4 accepted Aussie colors: Black, Red, Blue Merle. and Red Merle

If an Aussie has white and tan (also called copper) markings, it is called a tri color.
If it has white, but no tan (copper) markings, it is called a bi color.
